Dr. Evelyn Sassoon is a clinician in private practice. She has been affiliated with the Personality Studies Institute since 2013 and is a research therapist in the current ongoing study on the use of Transference Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) for borderline personality disorder.
Dr. Sassoon utilizes concepts and techniques from psychodynamic psychotherapy, and specifically TFP, in her private practice. She sees adults, adolescents and couples with the ultimate goal of improved mood and sense of self, and improved functioning in interpersonal relationships and academic/work life.
Dr. Sassoon is also an eating disorders specialist and uses cognitive behavior therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy in the treatment of eating disorders.
Dr. Sassoon graduated from Harvard College and received her doctorate in psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University.
She is a certified therapist and supervisor in Transference Focused Psychotherapy.
